USE OF METERING EQUIPMENT AFTER FLOODING

Milbank recommends replacement of metering equipment that has been submerged during a flood because submersion from flooding can result in contaminants such as silt, oil, chemicals, and debris entering the metering equipment. These contaminants can significantly impact how the metering equipment performs and could create unsafe operating conditions.

Commercial metering pedestals use self contained meters up to 400 amps in conjunction with a wide variety of optional breakers, load centers, contactors, and photoelectric controllers to provide power for traffic signals, street lighting, irrigation/sprinkler systems, cell towers/vaults, pump stations, outdoor lighting, and temporary power applications.
