Milbank Commercial Meter Pedestals are pad-mounted, weatherproof electrical enclosures consisting of a utility pull section with optional meter socket, and a customer section containing distribution and control equipment.
- Use anywhere distributions and control equipment are required: traffic signals, street lighting, irrigation / sprinkler systems, cell towers / telephone vaults, pump stations, temporary power, outdoor lighting, and battery backup needs.
- All electrical equipment (lug landing, meter socket, distribution and control equipment) is protected inside an attractive, vandal-resistant, weatherproof type 3R cabinet.
- Utility metering and lug landing compartments are isolated from customer distribution and control equipment.
- Standard pedestals are manufactured from AISI G90 galvanized steel with a baked green powder polyester paint finish to improve corrosion resistance. Optional pedestals in aluminum, anodized aluminum, painted aluminum and stainless steel are available. Contact our factory for pricing and availability.
- UL Listed as enclosed industrial control equipment (UL 508).
- Isolated, lockable & sealable utility metering & lug landing sections.
- Lockable customer section for distribution & control equipment with internal deadfront.
- Print pocket inside customer section door.
- All stainless steel external hardware (rivets, screws, bolts, hinges, handles, hasps and sealing screws).
- Tamper resistant meter sockets are produced in both ringless and ring type designs to meet the installing utility requirements.
- Standard designs include 4, 5 and 7 terminal meter sockets. 100, 125, 150, 200 and 320 amp sockets for plug-in self-contained meters. A 400 amp unit is available for bolt-on style meters.
- The need for uninterrupted electric service can be accomplished by using optional link bypass or heavy duty lever bypass.
- Pad-mounted pedestals may require additional installation kits.
- Available factory-installed options include: main and branch breakers or T-fuses, copper distribution load centers and panel boards, clocks & timers, photoelectric cells, power receptacles, contactors, surge protectors, reserve generator provisions, motor starters & relays, push button controls, thermostat controls, fans and heating strips, power blocks, transformers battery racks, and interlock devices for circuit breakers.
